WHAT WE OFFER
For the past few years, WestRex Services has been busy working towards the development of an innovative integrated waste processing and resource recovery facility. This unique facility sets the benchmark in quality, acceptance, treatment and disposal of:
These waste streams are applied in our beneficial reuse activities to create products for reuse by our local constituents, including the CSG industry for rehabilitation and production, local farmers and residents.
Drilling Mud Waste
Drilling mud is most commonly made up of bentonite and additives (barite, chalk and or hematite, etc.), as well as thickeners or deflocculates to influence the viscosity of the mud. Subject to the presentation of the Mud, WestRex utilises a number of methods for the recovery of these fluids, targeting beneficial use options. Additionally, WestRex applies the best practice recovery for beneficial reuse for the spade-able mud and cuttings.
Sewage & Septic
WestRex Services provides a beneficial reuse program for septic and organic liquid wastes via its onsite composting activities. Organic liquids include kitchen grease trap waste, and other biodegradable liquids suitable for composting. The compost produced is then tested for compliance, before being utilised in broad-acre applications, and site remediation.
WestRex Services provides the best practice for the recovery and reuse of both treated and untreated effluent. Westrex utilises a combination of composting, chemical and biological treatment, settlement ponds and irrigation systems for the beneficial reuse of this resource. Once treated and subjected to Quality Assurances steps, the water is re-used to irrigate our own pastures.
WestRex Services provides a consolidation and treatment service for bulk and packaged liquid wastes and chemical wastes. Onsite consolidation provides best value for money for local waste generators, for the disposal of wastes that cannot be treated onsite. Fixation and stabilisation processes are utilized on the site, and are used for the disposal of liquid and dry chemicals that require treatment prior to transfer of regulated waste disposal facilities.
